According to research, children who experience episodes of violence are at higher risk of becoming future perpetrators of violence and may suffer severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or shut from society if care and support is not made available to heal from their trauma. One of Rayuwa Foundations core mandate is to eradicate all forms of violence especially those perpetrated against children. In 2015 the foundation designed a curriculum to engage with parents and train children on key child protection issues. Three schools are so far engaged in the school based club and the foundation plans to extend the clubs across the country.
